The Démarcheurs Program

Démarcheurs d'Emploi is an initiative for employment-assistance beneficiaries. Participants must be looking for a full-time job and be available to meet an employment counsellor on a weekly basis.

The program is divided in two phases:

PHASE 1

For a maximum of six months, phase 1 consists of the participant's commitment to meet with an employment counsellor once a week. The counsellor will accompany the client in every step of his/her job search; from capitalizing on self-knowledge and acquiring new abilities, to tangible support such as, job seeking techniques and tools such as the résumé and the interview. This assistance is always offered according to specific customer requirements and needs.

PHASE 2

When a participant officially undertakes a new job, he/she automatically enters phase 2 of the program. With a focus on employment stability, this phase allows participants to have continuous access to a counsellor, for a period of one year after his/her employment began. Should the participant feel the need, he/she is invited to meet with his/her counsellor for information purposes, or to discuss concerns related to the employment, up to once a week.
