With over 15 years of experience in employment services, Le Trait d'union is an organization offering a multitude of bilingual services for, on the one hand, job search purposes and, on the other, for major employability events.

Mission
Le Trait d'union's Objective
Le Trait d'union's objective is to ensure employment integration of candidates referred by Emploi-Québec, through a combination of services offered to the participants in both official languages. Fundamentally, our goal is to help candidates find work, or get back to work, as quickly as possible.
Target Clientele
The type of customers that can receive employment services at Le Trait d'union include: an individual receiving social assistance, a person receiving employment insurance, or someone who is unemployed and who does not receive public income support. Notwithstanding, the person who receives services must be ready to integrate into the labour market.
Employment Follow-up
Once the candidate finds work, Le Trait d'union's employment counsellors will ensure to be available and in constant contact with the client. Furthermore, the team at Le Trait d'union will answer all questions and be available to discuss problems relating to the client's current job. Our goal is not only to find a job for the candidate, but also to ensure that his/her employment is and will remain stable and permanent.
At Le Trait d'union we ensure to stay in contact with candidates who are actively looking for work. In fact, we contact candidates by phone, and even arrange meetings at our office to guarantee that they remain active in their employment process.
Assistance Tool
Le Trait d'union offers candidates a variety of necessary tools to find a job, while also helping candidates acquire the necessary abilities to be self-sufficient in their work searching process. Moreover, Le Trait d'union ensures that candidates remain focused and motivated about employment.
All of the resources that are available to candidates encourage dynamic and active ways of finding work, ultimately accelerating the employment integration process.
Le Trait d'union receives daily and monthly all major regional newspapers, such as; Le Journal de Montréal, La Presse, The Gazette, Le Cité Nouvelles, Les affaires+, Le Partenaire, The West Island Business, The Suburban, The Chronicle, and many others. With these, our clients can benefit from all the necessary tools for a holistic job search, in either French, English, or both languages.
Additionally, at Le Trait d'union, we have an employer database for the Montréal metropolitan area, classified by CTI. This tool enables candidates the opportunity to be matched with different companies to personalized profiles and it helps to find employers that are less known or less solicited.
At Le Trait d'union, we offer access to the internet, as well as a list of useful sites, to help the job search process. Le Trait d'union is a registered domain name which means that we are indexed on major internet searching applications.
We, at Le Trait d'union, are a business that collaborates with many chamber of commerce members, which allows us to be strategically positioned in close partnership with the principal generators of employment, who are the patrons of SMBs. The encounters that follow suit, allow us to announce and solicit the specialized services which Le Trait d'union offers.
Lastly, we offer our costumers a documentation facility that allows for easy and efficient job searching, including up to date tools such as; magazines, leaflets, reference books, periodicals, directories and many other useful tools. At Le Trait d'union, we also provide clients with access to phone stations, allowing candidates the opportunity to rapidly call employers who are announced at different sessions. Computers, fax machines and photocopying machines are also at our candidate's disposition.
