Employment Services (SAE)

Following an agreement with Emploi-Québec, Le Trait d'union offers Employment Services, free of charge, to persons wishing to find a job.

Firstly, when a job seeker comes to one of our offices, an employment counsellor takes care of him/her and evaluates his/her needs. During this meeting, the counsellor verifies the candidate's résumé (curriculum vitae) or helps him/her to create one, ensuring that it is pertinent to the current labour market. At the same time, the customer is also encouraged to consult our computerized job bank, newspapers, magazines (reviews) and use the internet.

Afterward, the client is invited to participate in workshops about job search. He/She will be entitled to attend three group meetings to help him/her to develop his/her job seeking abilities and self-knowledge. Topics that are covered within theses workshops include:

• The Résumé (curriculum vitae);
• The Transferable Skills;
• The Interview;
• The Time and Stress Management;
• The Hidden Labour Market;
• The Internet.

The main objective of Le Trait d'union is to ensure the employment integration of its clientele. Conscientious and dedicated to offering a good service, we provide multiple meetings and follow-up encounters with our customers to ensure that they are always active in their job search.
